MAQUILLIAGE

Maquillage is a collaboration between The National Portrait Gallery and Glossier. The messaging behind this campaign is to normalise make up for men and make them feel more comfortable buying make up if they want to. It’s about breaking the bubble on toxic masculinity. The exhibition and pop up shop are influenced by portraits of the 17th and 18th century as men in that era used to apply white powder and rouge to hide their flaws and look more flushed. This was highly common among the upper class and showed a sense of aristocracy. This will take you through the various touchpoints to activate the campaign and then lead you to the exhibition space and pop up shop mock up.
